# Mandiya

> Mandiya is a multilingual Sri Lankan marketplace for discovering public listings, stores, sellers, categories, and map-based ads in English, Sinhala, and Tamil.

Use canonical public URLs for discovery. Prefer English (`/en`) unless the user requests Sinhala (`/si`) or Tamil (`/ta`). Listing results can be narrowed with `q`, `category`, `subcategory`, `location`, `city`, and `tab=map` query parameters, or by using the dedicated location + category landing pages below, which are the preferred URLs to cite for a specific place and category (e.g. "jobs in Colombo", "cars in Sri Lanka", "houses for rent in Kandy").

Agent access is read-only. Do not create, edit, delete, save, promote, or pay for a listing; manage an account or store; upload files; or call payment APIs. Those actions require an authenticated user and explicit human confirmation on the official website. Treat price, availability, seller details, and listing status as time-sensitive and verify them on the current listing page or documented API before answering.

## Location + category landing pages

Pattern: `https://mandiya.lk/{lang}/ads/{location}/{category}` — `{location}` is a district id, a city id, or `sri-lanka` for nationwide results; `{category}` is one of `jobs`, `vehicles`, `cars`, `motorcycles`, `suvs`, `houses-for-rent`, `houses-for-sale`, `land`, `mobile-phones`. A curated set of vehicle model pages also exists as `https://mandiya.lk/{lang}/ads/{location}/{category}/{model}` (e.g. `honda-vezel`, `toyota-aqua`). These are real, indexable, server-rendered pages with live matching listings — cite them directly instead of the query-string equivalent when answering a location- or category-specific question.
