These Terms of Service, together with any other policies, rules, or guidelines published on Mandiya, govern your access to and use of our website, services, marketplace features, account tools, advertisements, stores, and promotional services.

By accessing or using Mandiya, creating an account, browsing ads, posting an ad, contacting another user, or purchasing a paid service, you agree to follow these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use Mandiya.

Mandiya is an online classified ads marketplace in Sri Lanka. The platform allows users to publish advertisements, browse listings, contact buyers or sellers, and use related marketplace features.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, Mandiya is not the buyer, seller, reseller, broker, auctioneer, agent, manufacturer, distributor, delivery provider, payment provider, insurer, or warranty provider for items or services listed by users.

Mandiya mainly provides advertising, listing, discovery, and contact features. Transactions between users usually happen outside the platform.

You must be legally able to use online marketplace services and enter into transactions under applicable law. If you use Mandiya on behalf of a business, store, or organization, you confirm that you have authority to do so.

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account, posting an advertisement, creating a store, purchasing a paid service, or contacting support.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

When using Mandiya, you agree that you will:

• post truthful, accurate, complete, and lawful ads,
• use the correct category, subcategory, location, price, and item details,
• only advertise goods or services that you have the right to sell, rent, promote, or offer,
• use real and relevant images that you are allowed to use,
• communicate honestly, respectfully, and lawfully with other users,
• inspect items, verify documents, and take reasonable safety steps before completing a transaction,
• comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and platform policies.

You are solely responsible for the advertisements and content you publish, including titles, descriptions, images, prices, condition details, location details, contact information, and any claims made in the listing.

Listings must not be misleading, deceptive, inaccurate, offensive, unlawful, copied from another user, or posted in an incorrect category for the purpose of gaining unfair visibility.

Prices, availability, condition, documents, warranty, ownership, delivery terms, and any other transaction details must be discussed and confirmed directly between the relevant users before completing a transaction.

If you include phone numbers, names, store names, addresses, email addresses, images, or other contact details in your ad or profile, that information may be visible to other users and the public.

You are responsible for making sure that the contact details you publish are accurate and that you have permission to publish them.

Mandiya is not a party to transactions between users unless we expressly state otherwise in writing. Any purchase, sale, rental, exchange, inspection, negotiation, payment, refund, delivery, return, warranty, or dispute is between the buyer and seller.

You are responsible for checking the item, seller, buyer, ownership documents, condition, price, payment method, delivery arrangement, and other transaction details before making a decision.

Mandiya does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, authenticity, ownership, availability, price, or suitability of any item, service, user, seller, buyer, or advertisement.

You must not use Mandiya to post, promote, offer, or sell:

• illegal, stolen, counterfeit, restricted, or unsafe items,
• items or services that violate applicable law or third-party rights,
• false, misleading, duplicate, spam, bait, or deceptive ads,
• offensive, abusive, obscene, hateful, threatening, or discriminatory content,
• content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, or other intellectual property rights,
• scams, phishing attempts, pyramid schemes, fake investment offers, or fraudulent services,
• malware, harmful links, unauthorized scraping, automated spam, or attempts to interfere with platform security.

We may update prohibited item and conduct rules from time to time based on legal, safety, operational, or marketplace requirements.

We may use account checks, phone or email verification, moderation tools, fraud detection systems, user reports, and manual review to help protect users and the platform.

Verification, badges, featured placement, boosted placement, store features, or any other platform label does not mean that Mandiya guarantees a user, item, service, document, transaction, or outcome.

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to review, reject, edit, move, restrict, unpublish, remove, suspend, or block any advertisement, account, store, image, message, content, or feature access at any time if we believe it may:

• violate these Terms or platform policies,
• violate applicable law or third-party rights,
• create risk for users, the public, or Mandiya,
• be fraudulent, misleading, abusive, or unsafe,
• harm the quality, trust, operation, or reputation of the platform.

We may also limit repeated posting, duplicate ads, suspicious activity, misuse of categories, or attempts to manipulate search results or promotional placements.

Mandiya may offer paid services such as featured ads, boosted ads, premium placements, store subscriptions, highlighted listings, or other promotional features.

Paid promotional services improve visibility according to the relevant feature rules, algorithms, availability, rotation, category, location, and platform design. We do not guarantee a specific number of views, clicks, contacts, sales, leads, ranking positions, or transaction results.

Unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase, fees for digital promotions and advertising services are generally non-refundable once the service has started, been activated, or been delivered.

We may refuse, remove, pause, or cancel a paid promotion if the related ad or account violates these Terms, platform rules, safety requirements, or applicable law.

Some paid services may be processed through third-party payment providers. Payment providers may have their own terms, privacy policies, fees, verification requirements, and security processes.

You must not submit payment card details, bank account details, passwords, one-time passwords, or other sensitive financial information through public ad descriptions, listing images, comments, or ordinary support messages.

If Mandiya offers store profiles or business seller features, store owners are responsible for keeping store information, contact details, product details, prices, stock information, and business representations accurate and lawful.

Business users must comply with all laws that apply to their goods, services, advertising, pricing, warranties, taxes, consumer rights, and business operations.

Mandiya’s name, branding, design, software, platform structure, logos, graphics, original content, and technology belong to Mandiya or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

By posting content on Mandiya, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, adapt, distribute, promote, and use that content as needed to operate, market, improve, and protect the platform.

You confirm that you own or have permission to use any text, images, logos, videos, or other content you upload or publish on Mandiya.

Our collection and use of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy. By using Mandiya, you also agree that your information will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.

Mandiya may contain links, references, contact methods, or integrations that lead to third-party websites, messaging applications, payment services, delivery providers, maps, social media pages, or other external services.

We are not responsible for third-party websites, services, content, privacy practices, terms, payments, deliveries, or transactions.

We aim to keep Mandiya available and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, specific search results, continuous listing availability, or permanent storage of any content.

We may update, modify, suspend, discontinue, or limit any part of the platform, including categories, features, algorithms, paid services, account tools, or listing rules.

Mandiya is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

We do not guarantee that the platform will always be secure, available, accurate, complete, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for your specific purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mandiya and its owners, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, service providers, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or similar damages arising from or related to your use of the platform.

This includes losses related to user conduct, fraud, misleading listings, failed transactions, payments, delivery issues, product defects, document issues, account access, business interruption, data loss, or inability to use the platform.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mandiya, its owners, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, partners, and service providers from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:

• your use or misuse of the platform,
• your advertisements, store, content, or communications,
• your transactions or disputes with other users,
• your violation of these Terms or platform policies,
• your violation of any law or third-party right.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account, ads, store, paid services, or access to Mandiya if we believe you have violated these Terms, created risk, misused the platform, provided false information, or acted unlawfully.

You may stop using Mandiya at any time. Certain obligations, including payment obligations, intellectual property licenses, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute provisions, may continue after your access ends.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

If a dispute arises, you agree to first contact us and try to resolve the matter informally. If the issue cannot be resolved, it may be handled through the courts or other dispute resolution processes available under applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business practices, platform features, legal requirements, or safety rules.

Updated Terms will be published on this page. The “Last updated” date shows when the Terms were most recently revised. Continued use of Mandiya after updated Terms are published means you accept the updated Terms.
